For my digital doppelgänger, I am envisioning a person who embodies both defiance and deep-seated insecurity, constantly navigating the contradictions of xir identity. Standing at just 5’2”, xe has a small, almost childlike body frame. Xe changes xir hair frequently—chopping, dying, and restyling it on a whim, often unevenly, since xe cuts it xirself. Xe refuses to shave, believing body hair is a radical statement against societal norms. Xe is pale from rarely going outside, or when xe does xe likes to cover xirself from head to toe. Xe always wears a mask, as xe is deathly afraid of catching something.
Xe has many tattoos all over xir body, along with a bunch of pericings, including stretched earlobes and a septum ring. Scars from self-inflicted wounds covering xir arms and thighs. Xir fashion is a mix of emo, punk, and DIY thrift-store finds, always paired with platform boots that xe has decorated with charms and doodles. Some days, xe accessorizes with cat or elf ears, fully embracing xir semi-furry identity.
While xe identifies as human, xe occasionally refers to xirself as a therian, believing xe has a deeper connection to animals than most. Xe is non-binary and proudly uses xe/xir pronouns, taking offense when people misgender xir. Xir large eyes are slightly unsettling—always scanning for microaggressions or signs of exclusion. Xe feels invisible yet demands to be seen, existing in a paradox of wanting to be noticed while believing no one truly understands xir. Xe also has a plethora of self diagnosed conditions.
